Tender Carbon
role:
Creator
Enriching the coconut water community with tender husk biochar for soil health, carbon credits, & versatile composites. As the demand for coconut water continues to grow globally, so does the amount of tender coconuts used for this delicious hydrating beverage. If these were husks from mature coconuts used for oil, then the grower would be paid for the husk. But since these husks are immature, they currently have no value. Tender Carbon aims to change this through converting the husks into a stable form of carbon called biochar. This biochar can be used at the base of the palm tree as a mulch and in Tender Carbon's carbon-negative thermoplastic composite.
